YardScout is an informational tool for people who pull their own parts at self-service junkyards. Using it means you're okay with the following — written plainly, because that's the whole point of this app.
Everything YardScout shows — inventory, arrival dates, rows, part lists, value ranges, pull costs, demand speed, lot-lifespan estimates — is our best effort at useful information, not a guarantee. Value figures are ranges based on typical eBay sold prices for parts in working condition; a cracked, faded, or non-working part may be worth little or nothing. Local market prices vary. Nothing in the app is a promise of income, profit, or availability.
We re-scan the yards' published inventories on a schedule, but yards sell and crush cars daily, and yards track cars — not remaining parts. A car may be gone, and a listed part may already be pulled, by the time you visit. Always confirm at the yard. Pull costs come from each chain's published price list where available and can change without notice; the price at the register is the price.
Decisions you make with this information — trips, purchases, resale attempts — are yours. To the maximum extent permitted by law, YardScout is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we're not liable for losses arising from its use. Junkyards are industrial environments; follow each yard's safety rules.
YardScout is independent. Pick-n-Pull, LKQ Pick Your Part, Pull-A-Part, and the other chains named in the app are trademarks of their respective owners; we just organize their publicly posted inventory and price information.
Don't abuse the service (scraping the app's data files at destructive rates, attacking infrastructure, misrepresenting the data as your own product). Personal use, sharing finds with friends, and reasonable exports are exactly what it's for.
Joining the Pro waitlist costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Pricing and features shown for Pro tiers are planned, may change before launch, and no charge occurs until you explicitly subscribe after launch.
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
